Attributes can be managed in the Listings > Attributes section. Some settings have an info icon next to their name, if you hover on this icon the additional info will be displayed.
After you set the attribute name HivePress will automatically generate an attribute ID based on its slug (e.g. “Sale Price” name will be converted to “sale_price” ID). Although this is optional, we recommend setting attribute slugs manually to avoid long auto-generated IDs. Once you set the attribute slug, never change it because it links attributes with data.
Each attribute has its display format and template areas where it’s displayed. Display format can be set using
%value% placeholder, e.g. you can add an attribute named “Price” and set
$%value% display format, then if user enters “1000” it will be displayed as “$1,000”.
HivePress has 4 default listing template areas, 2 for the archive listing and 2 for the single listing templates. For example, if you select “Single listing (primary)” area for an attribute it will be displayed at the top of the single listing page sidebar.
